Are responsible people and accountable corporations mutually exclusive?

Because, from everyone I've talked to, it's either one of the other.

Why not both sides just accept their share of the blame and try to make amends?

Katie Couric doesn't seem to think consumers have any culpability whatsoever. But, just as bad, 90% of this forum don't care that corporations are encouraging and profiting off of food addiction, when life is difficult enough.

Why not solve the problem at both ends? I don't get it. What do people gain by being one-sided and pointing their finger at the other side?
