Most of the time when it is said that people eat the same, the fact is that they do not eat the same. In most cases, if both parties write down EVERYTHING that goes into their mouth for a month, you will see the fatter person usually eats more.
I am a skinny person, and people have been telling me for my whole adult life, that I eat plenty and I eat all the time. This is not true.
Fat people always tell me that they have no idea why they are getting fat, as they don't eat. But this is not true. They always use ONE particular day as an example. "Look at today, I only had tea this morning, and it is now 2pm and I have not eaten anything as yet". :-) None of them remember the box of double fudge chocolate cookies they eat in the night after supper while watching TV.
When I eat bananas and mangoes for lunch, all the fat people at work look at me like I am crazy, and exclaim that that is not food!
But I eat things I get free in the back yard. I always try to put on weight, but sometimes when I eat too many free fruits for the week, I loose weight by mistake.
When we go the the mall, my fatter coworkers will spend about $30-$50TT on fast food, but I will save all my money instead. I will eat when I reach home, whatever mom cooked.
Also, in my country Trinidad, for the past decade, hospitals and health centers have been vilifying ripe fruits as the biggest problem when it comes to sugar intake, and they always warn people about eating too much raw fruits. So opposed to me, people eat sweet snacks instead of the dangerous fruits, and then they tell me that they don't know why they are getting fat and I get skinny, even though I eat so much more sugar then them.
