He was deeply in love with LeClerq, so I guess he liked both men and women.

I had the impression that whatever he felt for her confused him and also inspired him. It must be something to be in love with someone and also have this person change your impression about yourself, your very identity.

There's a documentary on PBS, I think, that covers Robbins' bi-sexuality and his difficulty coming to terms with it.
