Outdated "disks" & "records" are key - odd or good?

Love this movie, but why do they keep calling info on a THUMBDRIVE a disk? And why have an opening scene in a record shop? Yes - I'm sure they exist for nostalgics, but it was just an odd choice for a modern spy movie. Felt like moving backward to have stale references.

It's quite obvious when Baby Boomers (Gen X in this case) write scripts, but why isn't anyone younger catching this stuff in production to keep it fresh?
