Many people that appear on Steve's show sound like they have rehearsed what they are going to say into the ground. It distracts because it doesn't sound genuine. It's the same with Dr. Oz' show. Even during the Ask Steve segment, the people in the audience sounds like they have rehearsed their speech. Very annoying.
shareNot only have they rehearsed it, but they're not the ones with the question. The producer asks the audience members if any of them would feel comfortable "playing the role" of the person with the issue. So they rehearse them with the question.

sharealso along those lines - the women in the audience, it seems to me, want only to be seen and ask the most ridiculous questions. as in the 20 something who didn't get some money from her grandmother as a gift , asking how could she get the money

She asked Steve if he could recommend ways for them to make out without him hurting his back leaning down, or her hurting her neck, leaning up. [Laugh]
