Are these fictional versions of themselves, or are they really like this

Mike Smith is a loudmouth b*stard in this movie, and Rob Wells is mild mannered (now I am only 26 minutes into the film), and John is kinda, well, dull. Very opposite from their characters in Trailer Park Boys. So far. Are the boys really like this irl? Or am I right in assuming they are playing fictional versions of themselves, just like a few celebrities (like Micheal Cera) did in the movie "This Is The End"?
