Moot point

In the reality of our world, bytes have words or pictures beat hands down. Teaching young people anything else is a cruel deception.

Why do you say, "moot point", if you believe, "bytes have words and pictures beat hands down"?
Actually, I know nothing about this film and have no idea what you mean by 'bytes'. Basically, you're just talking gibberish.
Bytes are units of data and are only as important as the data they contain. I'd guess 99% of data ("bytes"?) contain words, ignoring the fact that images require more units of data to carry them. Kids' Wikipedia copy & paste solution to homework is actually their downfall - or, at least, should be.
