Well, when I say "This has the smell" I mean I suspect, and when I say "....of an extremely rich lobby group" I mean one of those extremely rich lobby groups that decides who will be your politicians every four years, and when I say "...funded from outside the USA" I mean the money has come from outside the USA.

My 'take' is that you live in a country where the election of politicians is not decided by the electorate, simply because you allow unfettered election spending. Your politicians' obligations are to those that put them (and keep them) in power, not to their constituents. By the end of this campaign Romney will have spent more than any other candidate in history - I am fortunate to live in a country that does not permit such a corruption of democracy.
Oh, and he'll still lose.....
