Why didn’t Spectre’s gun barrel use the animated one from the Brosnan era?

When Brosnan was Bond starting with Golden Eye in 1995, they updated Maurice Binders opening gun barrel sequence so the white parts in the inside of the gun barrel sort of reflect and moves into place when it pans across following Bond and stops at the familiar pattern when Bond stops and shoots.

Spectre was the first film since they rebooted it that brought the gun barrel sequence back to the intro of the film and re-introduced the familiar pattern to it we’re all familiar with.

I couldn’t help but notice though they’ve gone back to the none-animated one from the first 16 movies last seen in Licence to Kill.

How come they didn’t use the animated one with the white parts moving into place etc?
