I hope he does return. Really like him as Bond.

Spector finished with James Bond finally looking to live a different life again. You can tell he's getting too old for it too. I don't know why anyone would want a new one with Daniel Craig, because despite as much as like him as bond, James Bond decided not to choose the assassin life anymore at the end of spectre.

It's like asking for another Nolan batman movie when Bale is 50 years old. It doesn't make any sense at all

Verily I say unto thee..next time you watch the movie look at the opening credits. The film is called SPECTRE and is not a biopic about a disgraced music producer.

I could not agree more with you and the Nolan Batman comparison is spot on! If he's coming back, it's clearly for the large paycheck and that's just a bad thing for the series. With how they ended Spectre, there is no place to go from here. Sure, they can make some "blofeld escapes which pulls James back in" story but it's fairly unanimous amongst fans that the Blofeld/Bond family connection was one of the biggest mistakes in the franchise! So why continue down the same rabbit hole?

Craig's Bond(for those like you and me who actually paid attention to the story being told)finally freed himself of the tortured life of being a 00. There will never be a more perfect time to move on and start a new tenure! Don't take the easy way out producers and just throw boatloads of money at Craig hoping you'll have success. He was great as Bond but another continuation of his "story" would be pointless/nonsensical and I think this time around, the next film could make even less money than Spectre and Craig will be laughing all the way to the bank! Think about it, Craig/Mendes closed it off for a reason and the only thing that would be pulling him back into the franchise is that he doesn't have any other work elsewhere.

Please don't.

I told everyone they were making too much out of his comments last year. I always said it was frustration about being asked about another film when he just finished Spectre, and this interview pretty much confirms that....

I never had any doubt about him returning. If people actually read various interviews as opposed to a cut and paste job of the "Slash my wrists" tabloid crap, they'd see how likely it was he was going to come back. He needed a rest and that was it.

Even Sam Mendes said a year ago on the record "That if you ask a marathon runner 30ft from the finish line if they're going to do another marathon, their are two words that will likely be used".

I never felt the need to speculate, I watched and read various interviews during the promotion of Spectre and it was clear he still had admiration for the film series but needed a rest.

He was always likely to return.

It's the extreme!
