Casablanca reference??

Spoiler related question...

I looked through the trivia and couldn't find anything, but I'm fairly certain L'Americain was a reference to "Casablanca". In "Casablanca" Rick runs the Café Americain in Morocco (where the hotel is in this film). Bond's room with Madeleine looks VERY similar to Rick's above the café and her outfit is similar to one that Ingrid Bergman wore in the film. (Although the trivia says her looks were primarily inspired by Grace Kelly.)

Anyone know for sure or WHY?? What's the connection other than "Casablanca" being an extraordinary film that is constantly referenced?

Yes, I can see that there could be similarities between Casablanca and Spectre, but that's okay because they are both great movies.
