I was noticing that myself. And was Bulgaria actually a country in medieval times?
…just looked it up. "Bulgaria" apparently became the name in 1878. There was once a "Bulgarian Empire."
I doubt if they spoke English very well. But then, I kind'a thought the Planet of the Apes had a problem, too.
