Cher Madame / Monsieur
Could you please write on english. I think I want to see this movie, but I am not 100% sure. I enjoyed so many french movies and Fanny Ardant is brilliant, but there are no reviews from the viewers. I don't care about the critics.

Original sound: OK, but what do they say, precisely?
I liked the film very much. Sorry, but my opening post is not a review, merely a minor technical comment on the way dialogues are rendered in the original French version.
In France, original sound recording from the set is strongly favoured, a trend that the Nouvelle Vague firmly established, and dubbing during post-production is only done as a last recourse. I gather in the US dubbing is much more common.
Dubbing in France is often mediocre; Italy has a better experience and know-how in that art.
The director Marion Vernoux went for very little dubbing; in one or two scenes where people are talking, I couldn't grasp the dialogue.
I was wondering whether it was me, the theater audio system, or if only the hum of conversations was what Vernoux intended. My friends say it's me.
Again, this is a very minor point.
