Wow, this was a great flick all-around. Truly enjoyed watching the acting to a great, easy to follow storyline. This is definitely one of those movies that makes you think about what we know or have been told. Highly recommended movie!!
shareIt's a beautiful piece. I like that we get a real resolution, yet a lot of the context is ultimately up to the viewer. That's a nifty reversal of open-ending construction. And the cast are all perfect fits in their roles. Everybody sticks the landing!
I wound up only giving it a 7 because I think it would have benefited from better production values, and there were a few things that didn't quite jibe. But I would recommend it too. Thoughtful, rich, resonant.

Happened upon it & was pleasantly surprised ~
"There's a band playing on the radio ~ With a rhythm of rhyming guitars"
I also enjoyed it very much! The only weak spot was the woman who played the Filipino wife, Maylon. Her acting and delivery were absolutely dreadful - cringeworthy, in fact. I can't imagine how the actress got past the casting director for this role.
Thankfully, I hung in there. Everything and everybody else proved to be worth the time spent.
