A Movie A Lot Like This?

I remember a movie very very similar to this one, but can't remember the name! It was also about a screenwriter, living in an LA warehouse loft with a bunch of roommates, they were also throwing a big party, and there was a similar love story, including the roommate hookup. I remember the writer moving his desk and everything out onto the roof to write. I think the douchey roommate had won the loft on a Real World type show.

Anyone know the movie I'm talking about? It's driving me nuts!
