Why am I not surprised that they voted so much to get Darnell 2nd place...and Darnell TOOK money. He never should have even been in the final.

The actual hero was the asian guy that voluntarily took himself out of the competition. He should have won.

shareI'm confused...how exactly do we know if black people voted for Darnell? I'm a black man...and while I agree the show felt scripted and rigged, I don't think Darnell was 2nd place due to being black...it's because he was the overall 2nd most likable character out of the finalists.
Do I think Patty should have won...no...do I think Darnell should be second place? Again, no...but I'm assuming the people that actually did vote were sucked into this weak contest. If you were the type to be sucked in, you'd probably vote for Darnell and Patty...black voter or not.
All that being said, how exactly is Darnell ghetto? Yes he used slang most associated with blacks...the whites repeatedly said "beasted it" which is a slang term primarily used with my white counterparts. Yes he danced (which I hated...but that's a personal thing.)...however overall he confessed the overwhelming love he had for his family and the sacrifices he was willing to make for them. He even talked aobut his undying respect for his father who was a great provider and family man. That's about as far from "ghetto" as you can get.
Obama isnt ghetto at all (he's HALF WHITE even)...and black people voted for him like 97% for President. So I just assumed that if there were black people watching this show, all their vote would have went to Darnell.
It just made no sense that he got 2nd place since he took money.
Well firstly you'd have to know how many black people watch the show to come to that conclusion. Secondly there were two times (If I'm not mistaken) for the white contestants to vote Darnell off and they did not. So one can assume that if the white contestants didn't vote Darnell off, then the white viewers may have supported Darnell also. Even Darnell said he was worried he'd be voted off. Had I bothered to vote I would not have voted for Darnell for the record.
Also people keep talking about how he took the money. Please correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Darnell say BEFORE he was chosen that he would take the money? I thought he kept it 100% honest and they chose him anyway. I'll try to go back to that one if I didn't delete it...

shareI get a feeling that the majority of people voting probably are not black. People voted by who they liked not by who deserved it. The Asian guy took himself out so he might have won. Amusing because a black made it to the end so it must mean black people voted for him is embarrassing and kind of childish.Other races can like black people you need to get out more.
