The Glass Castle is an adaptation of a memoir by Jeannette Walls. It details her life growing up in poverty and a dysfunctional family. Brie Larson is playing Jeannette Walls so that makes her the "young girl" who comes of age. But obviously that they will have to cast a child actress to play young Jeanette.

I'm really confused how this is going to work. Brie, an adult actress, has been cast as the lead but the majority of the book chronicles Jeanette's life while she's growing up more than it does her adult life. I don't know how that's going to work, but I have faith it will be a good film if Short Term 12's Destin Daniel Crettin is writing and directing it.

Seeing Brie acting opposite Woody Harrelson is going to be great. Woody is a fantastic choice to play the father, Rex Walls.
