Not too bad

I liked the story and the twist and turns, the acting is a bit dodgy now and then but there are a few scary moments.

I LOVED the setting, the Italian location, the typical 1930s style architecture, etc.
But it also made me wish it played a more important part in the story.
There was very little mention of the facists and it is a subject you could use very well for a ghost story.

Complaining about mistakes is almost as bad as complaining about complaining about mistakes.

I was in a dark fairy tale mood after checking out Mama and rewatching Pan's Labyrinth, so I decided to catch this one. I honestly thought it was a bit boring, but the twist at the end was pretty good. Too bad it came so late in the story, but it definitely made it more memorable than most films of this type.

I liked the film, but it was slow! Just half way through when '18 months later' appeared I felt disappointed because I thought it had ended here. I was pleasantly surprised that it hadn't.

Then there was the other twist that pieced the whole story together. This was brilliant as until this point it felt disjointed with unnecessary details of the past.

Other than Sophia's knowledge and the location, the whole mosquito thing didn't quite make sense to me.

Not a bad little movie at all. Certainly worth more than the 4 star rating it has at the moment. It's decently directed and acted, has several quite spooky scenes and a very good twist at the end. I'd recommend it.

All in all, I thought it was okay.

It seems like people's problems with this movie are small, nit-picky things. I'm surprised their dislike of the movie is built on such a slim foundation--I found the movie well-made and interesting.
