to hell with this show

how dare you kill animals for the sake of entertainment!

seriously I hope everyone affiliated with this show gets hunted down in their own habitat trying to survive.

reply

What law are they breaking?
The animals would have been harvested anyway and they were used. The fur and meat was taken from the animals harvested.
How dare you buy food with the money you earn!
That's what your argument sounds like.

bitterbeerfart... love that ID... I agree with you... sadly these clowns are no more "Hunters" than former VP Dickhead Cheney... my money's on it's a canned hunt... and the animals are released for the fools to shoot....

Also these clowns are as "starving" as I am... and may I add to hell with the Animal Rights Organizations for letting this garbage on basic Cable... there are Hunting and Fishing Channels for people who find this garbage "entertaining".. ASPCA et all... how dare you sell your soul to the slimeball Cable TV channels for that free air time at 4:30 AM for you pathetic commercials, showing how much good you do for the animals....

And Paw... before you even say it... I don't eat meat or fish, don't wear furs.. and with the current trend these slimeball Cable TV channels are following... the next "Hit" series will be, SLAUGHTERHOUSE 5... a fun reality series that follow the day to day life of a family and their slaughter house business......

Alaska has some of the toughest game laws in the country.Game ranches and canned hunts are not allowed there.Transporting a native wild animal like a caribou to kill in an another area is a serious offense there.
It's also an offense to not salvage all edible meat from a legally taken animal in Alaska.

FWIW,high fence game ranches are only legal in about five states and a few indian reservations.

As for these people using this local resource,No they aren't starving, but they live in an area where food is much higher than the lower 48.They do get snowed and they can't just go to the red lobster when they want salmon.

There isn't any point in arguing with these types pawcatch. They are clueless about any kind of life outside of their own points of reference.

Don't try to run em off, their crying is great entertainment.

if alaska has such strict hunting laws then why can sara palin shoot animals with an automatic rifle from a helicopter?

reply

Because Sarah Palin is or was the POS Governor of the State... and I don't think the laws are that strict... and if they are... they are nearly impossible to enforce.....

Everyone's hunting laws are too strict.

Having hunting laws period is too strict.

Arial hunting is only allowed for predator control and takes special licenses.
For instance, you can't hunt a moose on the same day that you flew into camp.

Arial hunting is only allowed for predator control? Please tell me there is a helicopter chasing the helicopter killing animals in order to make sure the number of human predators stays limited in the few pristine natural places left on the planet by shooting down the likes of Sarah Palin...

Nonsense.

Automatic weapons have been illegal except by permit in this country since 1934. Permits are difficult to acquire and it is senseless to hunt with an automatic rifle anyway. And if that isn't enough, it is illegal to hunt game in Alaska with an automatic weapon.

It is also illegal in Alaska to hunt or even transport hunters by helicopter.

Palin may have supported making aerial hunting legal, but there is no evidence she's ever done it herself.

I agree! This show is an insult to nature and promotes barbaric animal killing! I couldn't believe what I was watching.....

reply

Imo this is the most moral way of eating meat. I think it's much more immoral to keep huge amounts of animals locked up in small areas, feed them food they don't eat in the wild, pump them full of antibiotics etc. These animals get to live their natural lives in the wild, and if they hadn't been hunted they would have either starved or been eaten by a predator. Getting shot is a quicker and more humane death than they would have gotten in the wild. Plus all the people in Tanana seem careful about following moral guidelines like not hunting female animals or young animals.

There are warnings when the show starts to deter people from watching a show about hunting and trapping. Obviously you ignored the warnings and watched it anyway. I'm still amazed at the animal rights morons who think that these hunts are "canned" and even more amazed that people who don't like this sort of thing continue to watch.
