How are these guys fat?

The thing that perpetually blows my mind is how many American coppers are so fat (the one in the show is morbidly obese). I'm from England and we may have many problems but our police aren't fat, surely a prime requisite doing police work is to be able to move without suffering a stroke, how the *beep* do they get their jobs?

Coppers is what The Bristish call police & early on in this country they used to be called coppers too.

There is one that has shown up in diff episodes, don't know if he's just for Tanada or what. He was around in the search for George & then ESP in the Flood Preporations.

Its a long cold winter & theres beer and Moose in the fridge.
