Awful, Awful, AWFUL!!!

"BEYOND" is a complete waste of time! (And that is putting it nicely.)

A plot that is completely missing, and is totally incomprehensible; bizarre tangents that just make this film even worse; stilted, cardboard-like acting; and an ending that is totally mystifying and downright stupid... yep, that pretty much sums up this horrific film.

If you have anything else to do, or any other film you've been wanting to watch, then go do those other things!!! If you waste the 84 minutes that is the running time of this dog of a movie, then you'll be regretting wasting these precious moments of your life...(Yeah, it really IS that bad!!!).

It's a character heavy story filled with symbolism and a not real twist but kind of twist ending. It wasn't what I expected, but I don't think it was a waste of time. It's similar to how Walking Dead advertises itself as a zombie flick, but is really just a drama about people.
I suspect that you went into it looking for a good sci-fi movie and got side swiped by drama. I get how that is not really fun, but I don't think the movie was as awful as you say.

The Walking Dead isn't a flick it's a TV Show

Contains a Spoiler...

Please, don't compare the utterly pointless and miasmic 'Beyond' with the excellent 'The Walking Dead.' While both are melodramas, TWD has well-developed characters and believable story arcs that make it re-watchable. Beyond has neither, plus it's barely watchable the first time around. Yes, there was symbolism, but symbolism alone does not a movie make! Beyond has all the creativity of a paint by numbers coloring book. From the very first unbelievable 'death defying' act, to the mindless wilderness wandering, to the exasperating and muddled flashbacks, to the final absurd ending it's a convoluted and inconsistent mess of epic proportions. Continuity was thrown out the window! Quite possibly it's the worst movie that I have ever seen and I've over 60 years of movie theater, TV and the Syfy Channel experience to reference. The only thing sci-fi about Beyond is the presence of space craft as seen on the cover. { SPOILER ALERT: it's a delusion (as apposed to illusion which it is not since it all takes place in his head).} The symbolism is heavy-handed, the special effects are high school level, the direction is confused, the cinematography is bland, the acting is wooden, the plot is practically non-existent. Once you know what's going on you will ask yourself: 'WTF?' If you are not annoyed and if you actually enjoyed this dreck of a movie then your expectations must not have been that high in the first place. It's a story that only dreams that it had 1/10th of the intelligence, suspense and compassion of TWD.
