I wish there was more people here...

All i want in this world is to discuss this amazing show as it reaches its conclusion. But there's just no one here. :-(

Course there is. I'm here and maybe a few others. There were more when IMDB was still around but I think they're either here or on TDMb (The Movie Database). I choose this one over the other cause I didn't have to register an email and such

Tell me about it. IMDB shutting its forums down is one of the greatest crimes against online humanity ever.

Black Sails was amazing though, beautiful finale.

You can discuss it on Hashed with us! I wrote my thoughts on the series finale here: https://hashed.io/c324/black-sails/t2574370/s04e10-series-finale

It really was a great show. The characters were very aware of how to write their own histories, and how to change history itself.

I only come here after I watch the whole thing :D I agree with Paul, shutting down the IMDB forums should warrant some time in the gallows tbqh

I really enjoyed this show but thought the final episode was a bit of a let down. Especially the finale 30 minutes where everything was wrapped up so neatly. I mean everyone gets a happy ending except Woodes Rogers, how cliche. I also never bought Captain Flint was gay, although there's nothing wrong with that.

I think my favorite character by the end of the show was Billy Bones, I prefer the tragic hero and his character had quite the arc. He starts off as the noble boat hand (if you can call a Pirate noble), discovers who Flint really is... His character loses his innocence as he discovers Flint is out for only himself and his personal vendetta with England. But with few other options he follows Flint anyway - he is eventually betrayed by him. He then befriends Silver and creates the "Long John Silver Myth", organizes a rebellion and becomes a Pirate Leader in his own right. But he is betrayed yet again but this time by Silver. So he plays the only card he has left and joins Rogers in the pursuit of the two men he helped create. Now that is an "Character Arc" and that is good writing. He truly is the ONLY "Tragic Hero" of the lot.

Where I could argue every other main character was truly only out for their own interests from their first episode to the their last. Billy Bones was different.

Don't get me wrong I thought the show was really good a little dialogue heavy at times but still an enjoyable view. I'd give it a solid B+.

What would I give an A you ask = Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Rome, Deadwood and I'm sure a few others.
