I've seen (guessing) 4000-5000 films in my life and I would say this is by far the worst I've ever seen,

Rated it a 1/10 only because I can't give it a zero, it was painful, what a F'n POS.

I also hated every minute of it, which surprised me because I've really liked all the director's other films.

Wow, this bad? The premise sounds fantastic and I'm watching Kill List right now, which is pretty good. Are there any scenes depicting alchemy at least?

Same here. I'm trying very hard to watch this. already at 30 mins point. But I think I've had all I can. This is unwatchable. The director here isn't exactly winning the greatest story teller award. Barely understanding anything apart from the british accent that makes it more hard to understand if there is indeed a plot.

Tough crowd. I thought it was awesome. Ben Wheatley has a certain way of making. The plots might not seem coherent at first... but they are. and daym are they deep. The black and white folklore tripping horror wasnt good for u guys/?
