What was the point of..

What was the point of the alarm system in their? It was kind of quiet and aren't they supposed to send a signal to the security company who calls and then sends police if you don't answer? Nobody called and the cops didnt show up until after dark so the alarm was basically used to say "Hey, there's someone in the house, good luck!" Lol.

Also, what is the point of an APB that doesn't include a description of the child, the suspect and the car? I know they could look up the suspect's car info but who knows if the car they had on file would still be the same one she's driving. And they don't go to the police station? Oh, your kid has potentially been kidnapped but lets casually sit in the living room and discuss the contents of a box you just stole from the neighbors? Haha.

This moving was entertaining but very silly : )
