Physical beauty is obviously a highly subjective thing, so I expect opinions to vary widely, but if you were forced to choose one actress in movie history to crown "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World" who would it be?
For me it's always been young Elizabeth Taylor from about age 17-27.

Taylor is definitely up there, but I would say Catherine Deneuve, or Brigitte Bardot. or a young Lauren Bacall. Of more recent years I would say Nastassja Kinski..

Elizabeth Taylor in 'A Place In The Sun' was beyond beautiful. Gene Tierney was up there too, as well as Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Vivien Leigh, and Marilyn Monroe.

shareSo very tough. I'd have to go with Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, and Sophie Marceau. But I must say, none of them holds a candle to Melissa Theuriau. That woman is drop dead gorgeous.
Honorable mention to Liz Taylor. You see her in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof or Cleopatra, simply hypnotic.
Lindsay Lohan comes nowhere close to any of these classy ladies, and never will.
