Drug use in Iceland?

Hello, I have a silly question that's been bothering me about the few Icelandic films I've seen.
I've noticed that in this film Metalhead, as well as Of Horses and Men, the several characters have casually snorted something which I assume in cocaine. If it is so, is cocaine use in Iceland as recreational as smoking ganja here in the USA? I guess I found the situations they used it rather odd, as here in the USA cocaine is more of a drug you use for a night on the town or something - in Metalhead, the lead character's friend does it right in the middle of their conversation, and in Of Horses and Men, the girl does it and shares with others after having caught the horses near the end of the film.
I can't seem to find anything online.

Thanks!

I don't live in Iceland but I signed up to answer this anyway, because I can see how more people not accustomed to the culture would think that. No, it's not cocaine, it's tobacco - snuff to be exact (look it up on Wikipedia). It's not very common nowadays, but you can still see it now and then in parts of Europe.

Hope that clears it up for anyone else thinking Iceland must be a haven for recreational drug use ;-)

That makes sense. I can't believe I haven't heard of this practice, must be no one really does that here in the US. Thanks for clarifying!
