Idiots: Just taking a moment to gripe before completing Ep 56
Starting with the emperor: He's whining he has no one to talk to yet he kills everyone who dares to express themselves honestly and intelligently. He looks down on those who constantly flatter him he he only tolerates the flattery and praise. No one can disagree with him. No one can criticize him.
Prince Guo fooled me. I thought he tampered with his boat to fake his own death. I really believed he intended to disappear with Zhen Huan. Then he made his return known to everyone. If he had faked his death, I could sympathize more with his disappointment in Zhen Huan for not waiting for him.
An Ling-rong, the empress and the rest of them: Zhen Huan was exiled for three years and they're still plotting against her. lol None have managed to garner the emperor's favor. None have gotten pregnant. And they're still hating on Zhen Huan and trying to harm her.
What's really bad is none of them are seductive or interesting enough so the man captured a slave horse trainer and brought her to the palace against her will.
The Dowager Queen: Kill your damned niece! She's killing all your grandbabies and can't give you anymore! Your son won't touch her. He hasn't in at least 15 years.

Gratitude to Netflix for streaming the condensed version. Liked it so much I sought comments on here. If I hadn't, I wouldn't have learned about the complete series. I love seeing the story play out more than I enjoyed seeing the elderly Zhen Huan and hearing her narration.
