Nothing has changed. The picture at the top of this page makes her love interest look old enough to be her father and he appears to need a shave.
I always thought makeup people in lavish shows like this did a good job on their actors but not in this picture. He should have kept his white beard on and then I would have been none the wiser.
well i thought since i was the makeup artists on the show i would responed to your posting... I am asuming you have seebthe film yes? the lead actor wanted to keep a close shave and its is groomed everyday like clockwork to keep continiity. So, yes even on lavish shows and smaller lower budget ones like this show, there is always a reason for an actors look..director request maybe? He plays an everyday joe kinda guy..it fits is part well.

as i said to Kevin a the Summer Glau Wiki, uncle Dave (played by John Brotherton) looks clean and sexy (well i guess) in the other pictures, like those under the Christmas tree.
I submitted this movie poster featuring Summer Glau and John Brotherton in a romantic situation because Hallmark does not advertise this side of the movie, whereas i wanted to.
As for Summer Glau's makeup, you should see all the comments on Facebook or at the fansites, they all say the same thing : Summer looks so young and almost doll-like.
This is exactly the desired effect for Summer's elfish character; congratulations Myke, mission accomplished!!
Seeing her with pointy ears makes me pretty sure, that she would make a cute Vulcan on Star Trek. A well replacement for Jolene Blalock.
