Creepiest Family Argument Ever...

I don't know what else to say other than that the parents, when chewing Christine out for getting a Christmas tree and decorating it, are genuinely creepy, lol. Its almost funny that such an explosive argument comes out over a Christmas tree and house decorations, especially since it starts out as an argument with David, before Christine gets involved, and then the kids; which is even weirder because for all the disrespect the parents tolerate from Ally, they decide to discipline her for sticking up for Christine over buying a Christmas tree! lmao

Its funny, but the whole scene just comes off as genuinely uncomfortable and even spooky for everyone involved, like something out of Long Days Journey Into Night or something lol

The part of that argument that gets to me is the mother's attitude. She honestly thinks that what they do every year is tradition and not ignoring their children for the business she and the father own. I wanted to reach through my screen and slap some sense into her. The parents need to succeed after failing at a previous business is causing them to refuse to see that their children aren't happy.

I don't know why I half expected Christine to get pummeled in that scene, a la "Real Housewives of the North Pole" style... that mother was baller lol

mother's attitude was probably from being hungover...

Because it wasn't about the tree, it was about the mother feeling like Christine had shown her up, and made her feel guilty for neglecting her children, and making them so unhappy.

I had to laugh when the mom says "Maybe we ARE ruining Christmas for the kids." Gee, you think?
