The role is nothing special, but there's always something intriguing, humane and engaging in her performances. My favourite performance from her will probably always be Naam (1986), but this is quite good too.
I'll get skewered for saying so, but she has much more screen presence and acting talent than her overrated ex-husband.
No way! I totally agree! I actually felt bad for her that her ridiculous, long-in-the-tooth ex is still playing main leads when he's old enough to be playing parent roles like Amrita Singh.
I was actually outraged to read that SRK was originally offered the lead role. Are you freaking kidding me?! Were they really going to have a man close to 50 (who already looks 50+) playing a college student opposite Alia Bhatt with Amrita Singh as his mother in law?! If Shahrukh should've been offered any role it should've been the father's role.
