Amanda Hale GREAT in this...

...as a squishy religious fanatic named Margaret. I wish the whole thing had been about her.

Everyone else is...sufficient. (And to be fair, matriarch Janet McTeer is a few steps above that, as per usual. Her character just isn't handed enough drama.)

Great series. I found Margaret to be a little over the top, just super neurotic and twitchy. But maybe that's what she was like irl.

Are you watching the new one ("The White Princess")?

I don't think I have access to the new one yet (what channel will it be on?) I remember being kind of unmoved by this one when I saw it years ago...and even less by the book, which I read while trapped on an airplane. It just seemed to be filled with the king constantly coming and going, and didn't really built to a rollicking climax. (It was flavored more along the lines of a sappy romance more than anything. Or, that's how it struck me back then.)

But with this miniseries, I'm appreciating the production values and some of the performances more this time around.

Sorry for the late reply. It's on Starz.

Idk, in real life she is said to be pious not fanatical and borderline nuts. I think she was more of a undercover calculating.
I never knew what to make of the series character as she was sinister one minute and compassionate the next.
