Anyone else taken in by the cinematography for 'Hoi-sa-won'?

...It's absolutely crystal clear and the tones complement the narrative so crisply. The scene where the character Ji Hyeong-do races through the tunnel on a mission to take out the other assassins in that snazzy car is un-real. You want to be in the car with him helping do what he's gotta go do.

Korean crime dramas just have that special look to them that I so love.

I really enjoyed this film, moviechick1010. Thanks for recommending.

Have you seen The Secret Reunion? Another good spy drama is Commitment.

Hey there, NMFilmgirl. We're back in the movie groove. Glad to see you and I'm glad you dug A Company Man/Hoi-sa-won

I've always loved your blog. I committed to posting something within the actual imdb threads for the Asian films we're always watching. So many people use it as a reference and to find flicks so why not? The Asian Film thread is everyone's top twenty list for any given subject ...am I yawning right now? Yep.

As for The Secret Reunion I felt a little peacock pride that even my current level of Korean language learning allowed me to suss out some of the Mr. & Mrs. Smith-type drama going between the characters that folds in the differences between North/South Korea.

I will watch Commitment next.

Look at that, NMFilmgirl. The popcorn emoticon is gone. What the bloody...?

Aw, thanks moviechick. Glad to hear you like the blog. Poor little thing has been left to drift forlornly in cyberspace for years now.

Anyway, I've finished my latest Korean TV show binge so now it's back to movies. Have you seen The Yellow Sea? That's another good crime-drama but a bit on the depressing side.

Yeah, what's up with IMDb getting rid of the most entertaining popcorn icon? As the Koreans would say...HUL!

Commitment was brilliant. Wow. You're just rooting for them all the way.

OK, The Yellow Sea it is.

Korean Film cinematography is excellent, excellent. Really appeals to my sensibilities. This film was beautiful art, from the visuals to the sound and music. Really enjoyed it.
