A version of The Maiden Heist?

Done better with Morgan Freeman and Christopher Walken.

Considering that Ian Rankin wrote Doors Open in 2008 and Michael LeSieur wrote The Maiden Heist in 2009 one would think that The Maiden Heist would actually be a rip off of Doors Open. It is no secret that American script and film writers look abroad for ideas then adapt them for their own American audience as though they created it. Doors Open was serialized in the New York Times, where i presume Michael LeSieur would have got the idea from. Both movies were fine for me and i don't have a petty competition about which one is the better film. I like all the actors in both as well. I'll also add that the movie studios are well known for bringing out films that are so similar in context that one would say they infringe copyright on each other, but don't hold your breath on them going after each other, just the average Joe will do it for them thank you.
