Christians I know are not this moronic...

You really have to have seen some really poorly written and acted films to think that this movie was anywhere near good. I didn't find this movie "sad" or "sweet" as some other viewers have described. It was just so terribly unrealistic and simple minded. We watched this with simple expectations. And it certainly lived up to that. This could have been a really good movie if they had put in just the smallest bit of effort or casting. Really disappointed in how the "actors" portrayed such a serious matter. Yeah, this is really "sad" effort".

I thought the movie was inspiring, it had good a storyline line, and the acting wasn't that bad!
I think Ken and Eli we're both able to help/change each other by sharing Tragedies that they've gone through. Great Movie! Learning to trust people is not always easy! Let go, and let God!

Simpleminded is exactly right. I laughed and laughed at many parts in this movie. It is difficult watching Christian films because they almost always have the mentality of a 14-year-old... someone who is old enough to think they have deep thoughts but does not have the life experience to be able to write fully fleshed out and realistic characters. It's sad (and even a little creepy) that these films are written by grown adults. They have a very simplistic view of the world. Everything is black and white. No shades of grey... and somehow God heals all. The acting in this was awful and too many of the adult characters were very childish. Christian films will never carry over to normal film viewers unless they start to show some maturity. Maybe some day...
