What do you think?

So nine days and counting and now some major spoilers are out in the wild via the guide book. If you really want see them you can go to the spoiler section of mgs forums or on reddit.

I was just curious as to people's thoughts if you read them. I glanced at them but stopped when I read some things that I thought were too much (eli/mantis/skullface things). I know there's not many people on this board but you CANNOT get a word in edgewise between all the crazed fanboys on mgs forum... its chaos over there.

I'm a hardcore metal gear fan and will not be canceling my pre-order like some. I'm sure I will love the game regardless of its short comings, if any. I think things are being blow waaay out of proportion and we haven't even seen more than one review yet!

The huge backlash is the issue surrounding ishmael/big boss/venom snake and who's really big boss, do we play as a clone etc. From what I've already read there's nothing to suggest we do not play as big boss and moreover it states big boss is the protagonist. But the python slekan body double supporters are having a field day! They don't say who Ishmael is per say but they give some arguments as to who he could be, which I found weird for a strategy guide. I think it would be cool if he was solidus, it would tie the story together well give him a reason to have Kiefer's voice as well. Not sure how fast solidus' aging was, is nine years enough to make a fully adult clone? But it makes more sense than grey fox. With the release of certain spoilers though the probability of having grey fox in the game is getting less and less, which is a shame because he's important to the cannon

Anyways just curious as to your thoughts. September cannot come soon enough!
