'THAT' ending......what did you think?

What. A. Game!

After Quiet's last mission I was going through the mission list and notice the opening hospital mission...but with 'truth' added to it. Played it and loved it. What an ending. Loved the smirk Phantom gave himself why looking in the mirror and said to myself 'that explains everything'.

It wasnt the original ending, there was a mission 51, but they never got to finish the game on time or lack of money, still not clear to me, you should try and search the ending video.

I have the ending,it's on a bonus disc you get with special ed.

If it wasn't budget related as to why 51 was cut,i think Iv an idea why it was cut.
Have you seen it?

reply

Yes i have seen it, think it's financial or either Kojima and Konami breaking up, what do you think?

reply

It's probably a stupid reason but I think maybe it has something to do with the player shooting Eli? You the player shooting a child,I'd say he pitched that, was turned down and just wouldn budge on the idea.

I remember in one of the cassette tapes snake (phantom) says he found it hard differinciating colours, only for them never to expand on this. At least with the bonus disc there was a reason for it,red hazmat suit

reply

Yeah that could be a reason aswell, guess we will find out someday

reply

Well the African children could get shot, so I don't think so.

I guess it all made sense in the end. I would have liked to have know a bit more about solidus at that point in time, but other than that I have no problem's with the ending. I guess I would have liked to have been actually playing as Big Boss. I

I like dit, i accidetally ruined it, by reading spoilers because after the fight with the metal gear (like how it wielded a sword and carried grenades) the credits rolled and i though the game was over. boy was i wrong.
