I'm out of ammo at the hospital

I just got this game for PS3 today and am having some trouble.I keep running out of ammo at the hospital.I'm at the stairs and I shoot a soldier on the stairs then start shooting other soldiers.After a while I'm out of ammo and don't know what to do next.

Can someone help me?
