1941 is mentioned briefly in the end credits by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale; they also show a couple brief film clips from it during the credits. I have a feeling the movie didn't get a whole section devoted to itself because Spielberg considers 1941 a failure (although Milius was proud of it, as I recall from his interviews on that film's DVD).
Yeah, I was thinking the same especially about Flight of the Intruder which was an underrated action movie. Probably one of the best war movies concerning the aviation part of it, I thought. Having read the trivia for it on here it said he had a bad time working on it especially from the studio's interference. Maybe that's why?
It's still a great documentary, though.
