Rich people aren't that powerful nor are they that reckless

A star basketball player doesn't get to kick everyone out of a restaurant. It would never happen. I live in NYC and I've been to plenty of expensive restaurants. They wouldn't be able to survive only on star customers. If a restaurant did that, it would be a scandal on the front page of The New York Post, there would be a boycott, they would go out of business. And we're supposed to believe the other customers left quietly? Ridiculous!

Sports team owners don't trade players based on poker games.

I guess VH1 thinks only naive people who live in the middle of nowhere watch their shows. I like this show so far; it's entertaining, but why does it have to insult my intelligence?

Those two scenes were absolutely ridiculous. They didn't even bother to show any of the restaurant guests extras visibly upset, confused, etc. when asked to leave. It's very fan fiction like writing.

Remember dude owns the restaurant. It's the one he named after Jelena. I think you can kick whoever you want out when you own it!

Life can only be understood backwards. It must be lived foward

True, about the star basketball players but remember, this is FANTASY, pure fantasy. We're supposed to suspend belief.

Also, You are right. A restaurant would never make money like that because half the time, they give the "rich and powerful" their meals for free. Which is really annoying in a city like NY where homeless people are walking around.

They feel like a celebrity or a powerful person eating in their establishment or patronizing their business is free publicity so they get all kinds of swag and free stuff. So you are right that they wouldn't survie on the "rich" customers alone.

The statement below is false.

I thought that scene was dumb as well. Hadn't some of the customers ordered food? Did they have to pay for anything? It just didn't make much sense. It was only there to prove his devotion to her, but it was just silly.

reply

I also thought the scene was dumb. But I think he just wanted the customers out just for a few mins.Otherwise he probably would have had a big lawsuit on his hands.
