I realize that was to advance the storyline, but it's the stupidest thing I've ever seen in a show ever. why would Derek take it out of his inside pocket and throw it where officers could see? smh

Yeah, I really went "what??" out loud while watching that scene. I chalk it up to being high in the first place and not being able to make a rationale decision when stressed. Im also slightly confused about what they describe happened and what I felt we saw. So, it looked to me like he threw the coke out of his pocket and into the space between them or something. Really stupid and out in the open, but when Asha describes the situation, he threw it IN her purse. Even if it had been that, you're a wonderful boyfriend. Pin your b.s. on her because when it came down to who should get in trouble, you threw your girlfriend under the bus.
