Underrated

It's a great underrated movie. I'm sure if you watch it another time you'll find that it deserves at least a 7, thanks to the exciting details in it, unpredictable scenes and the variety of acts as it contains: Bombing horror/terror (that is happening in real life), good light comedy scenes, lessons to learn from, good action, smart-ass scenes. If you didn't watch it yet, go ahead and do it, it's a great movie.

Yeah well it's not hard to make nonsensical scenes unpredictable. Like when he transfers digital money from the FED from a bank in France. Or when they get demonstrators to storm the building to prevent a shootout. Right, that's exactly what happens in real life. Jesus Christ.

no this was a totally uninspired run of the mill B-movie

totally lacked direrctorial style

I really don't understand why Elba picked this as his career is on a roll or why this was released to cinema at all. I have seen plenty of Direct to DVD that are better than this.

I agree. I enjoyed Bastille Day more than I expected. I mainly watched for eye candy Idris Elba but I liked the relationship between the main characters: Sean, Michael and Zoe.

They didn't even know each other the week before, but they fought for each other like old friends. Zoe could have been a pathetic little creature but she got to be a badass protester and fighter. I like that.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

The fight inside the van was sublime.

I really enjoyed this movie, lots of action, intrigue, double-crosses, and best of all lots of shots of Paris. Not Oscar material, but good fun.
