surprised this is a uwe boll movie

I've unfortunately put myself into the position of watching a few uwe boll films in the past........and all have been terrible and that's me being polite, but I was pleasantly surprised by this film although not perfect it was more coherent than some of his offerings and also kept my attention from the get go.

I was also intrigued by the fact that a large part of the movie was focused on background not a standard in Hollywood, more time was given to his motive rather than the execution which I believe worked in the films favour....my one complaint would be the ending voiceover that just felt out of place more like an ending to an A team episode or a punisher movie but who's to say that uwe boll isn't pushing to make a franchise.....it's definitely one of his better movies which makes me question how others were soo awful.

Yea same here. I watched it a couple times before and never noticed it was an UWE BOLL movie. Heck it didn't even say "an UWE Boll movie". It said something different.

I've noticed that Boll doesn't do an abysmal job when making original films. He's also not afraid to push social boundaries viciously protected by right-wingers (like criticizing capitalism). He should just never be allowed near another adaptation.

I think he does these movies because he cares, not because they make him money, and he is working with more reasonable budgets. His bigger video game adaptions have a bigger budget, but they are also way too ambitious. He tries to pull off 150 million dollar movies with 1/3 the budget, and that just doesn't work. When he has 3 million to do a movie that can be shot with that budget, he does a good job.

Same here! I was pleasently surprised too!

Uwe Boll was always a lot better at these social commentary action movies compared to most of his video game movies. tbh he claimed once to not even like working on game films. the shame in Uwe recently retiring from writing\directing is we will not get "Assault on wall street 2" or a postal sequel

Rob Zombie is one of the greatest directors today
