A word from the director!

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the discussion, user reviews and ratings for Lord of Tears. I just wanted to give you all a heads up that we do read your comments and consider your points.

Overall Lord of Tears has been an excitingly divisive film which to be honest, is what we aim for instead of crowd pleasing or mainstream types of storytelling.

That said however Lord of Tears was also our first film produced with a lot of positive spirit but scant resources and experience. We have a lot learned since producing our debut film and have taken on board many of your comments over areas where we can improve our work.

Along with performance/technical aspects, we've taken particular attention to your comments based on pace, which as an editor I've learned to appreciate with repeated viewing of our film in festivals around the world! Among audiences I do can sometimes encounter a numb ass during parts of our movie haha... but this is what learning is all about and as a film maker and with you guys as fans of the genre I love as well, we can work together to make these stories even better.

Of course we've also had our fans especially among critics/websites and fans who really dug the type of film this was. For them, their positive feedback has encouraged us to keep producing films with a strong focus towards original stories and the introduction of new and unsettling monsters / supernatural phenomena. With your critiques for those who didn't like or felt our film could be better (I count myself among those people) we'll add the negatives among the positives to make our next film 'The Unkindness of Ravens' a clear and exciting evolution for you.

Thanks again and feel free to ask any questions about the film!

Not completely related to the LoT but is The Unkindness of Ravens set in the same universe? On some other account on some other website, you said " You've meet the Owlman now meet his dark servants" ( something along those lines.)

Is there a chance he might reappear? Are you establishing the brewsterverse?

Yes I am and there are Easter Eggs for the Owlman. I like to think that we're working on a kind of Cthulu mythos of our own! ;)

Of course we are needing help to get the movie finished and I hope folks will join in with us as I think The Unkindness of Ravens is honestly something quite special!
