Are all Canadians this boring?

Endless monotone monologues regarding events that don't add up to much. The mother wasn't nearly as interesting as her kids thought she was and the fact one of the them was a product of an affair isn't something that warrants a full length film. The sister gives it away in the beginning when she questions why people will find this interesting. Exactly.

I totally agree. It was so boring. There are many families with a child who was the product of an affair. It's not worthy of an entire film. It was just someone making a file about their family. Zzzzz

In interviews Sarah says all this, implying she made the film to tell a story and give everyone a chance to talk. She's an artist. People don't have to watch.

I have to agree. It held my interest to begin with, but that slowly slipped away. I still give it 6/10 as it did some interesting things, and I respect what she did in terms of her own family; but it was overlong and just not interesting enough for the general public.

The really shocking thing is that Netflix predicted 4.9 stars out of 5, and usually when they predict anything over about 4.4 it's pretty guaranteed that I'm going to be blown away. They did not know me well in this case.

Amen. I kept waiting for the 'twist' to come that'd make this thing worth watching. It never came. So you were born out of an affair. Okay, and?

reply

I had to agree with the sister too haa
