because I was the only one in the theater. No phone screens lighting up, no talking. And the movie really wasn't that bad. Just the ending was weak, not resolved even after the hammer incident. Kate is gorgeous too.

Feel the exact same way about this movie. Kate made it more watchable than it really had any right to be. I did love the dinner scene for how badly done it was. Kate was actually pretty good, but the reactions from everyone else in the scene didn't match her intensity.

It appears that this dinner scene is cut out of the DVD copy.

I thought it was dreadful.

What is it with all these horror movies where early on a husband, friend or child will make a line referencing how the mother was previously ill (With something undisclosed) which plays to the "Is it real or is it all mental illness" moniker.

Seen it all before, Beckinsale looked out of place in this unoriginal fluff piece.

WOAH WOAH WOAH.
You forgot to mention the poor editing. A lot of camera shots were either poorly framed or badly sequenced. This is what bothered me most of all, TBH. It made the whole movie seem "twitchy", like someone patched it together for a last-minute deadline.
