i would like it to be, but looking at the cast, they seem they are the usual casting suspects for tanters films in the last few years and they are quite amateur affairs - so far, and i have seen all of the essex boys franchise, ROTFS is the best and will likely remain so for a very long time!

i agree with you, what did you think of bonded by blood can i ask

reply

bonded by blood was inferior to ROTFS imho, apart from anything else the cast was mixed up, they had the wrong actors playing the wrong characters!

"simon phillips as craig rolfe, what a joke"

I have nothing against Mr Phillips personally, but having seen a number of his performances I feel compelled to note that Simon Phillips cast as anyone/anything is a joke

How anyone can take ANY film with Nick Nevern in it or directed by Tanter seriously is beyond me! Maybe to watch films associated with these clowns you need to be doped up & half passed out!!! Cannot think of a single film associated with either that was actually worth watching!

Well now the film has been out a good while, it would be interesting to read how it did - or did not - live up to your hopes and expectations.

I have to say that personally I think it is easily the most inferior of all of the films based on the Rettendon killings; the Pat Tate from Rise of the Foot Soldier would have eaten Peter Barrett's Pat Tate for breakfast. Even Tamer Hassan's Tate was way better - he could evoke the psycho element even when smiling, Barrett thinks that scowling and swearing is sufficient to play a psycho - he's just not up to the job. The same applies to the curiously cast Tony Tucker

Yup, Craig Fairbrass's Tate in ROTF was one of the scariest, most memorable psychos I've seen on screen. None of the later imitators could possibly live up to that stellar performance.

It seems like Peter Barrett should have played Tony Tucker, Jay Brown should have played Craig Rolfe, and Simon Phillips should probably just have been jettisoned.
