I thought this had potential ...

... until it turned into a "family" film and took the really obvious options, most of them "borrowed". And then whimped out with a nonsense ending. (Elisabeth says families are not her thing, and barely knows Sigurd, but suddenly she's holding his hand and the kiddies are giving each other knowing looks? BahH!!)

I wish they'd stuck with their opening ideas, and explored something from Viking mytholody. And maybe explained the title along the way?

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

I am surprised this movie won an Amanda prize. I guess it tells a lot about Norwegian movies... I won't trust Dagbladets recommendations anymore. Pure trash 3/10

People are known to put up fronts to hide their frustration/pain with past experiences. Her last relationship didn't work out and so she puts on the nonchalant act that she doesn't need family. After going through the life-or-death situation -- to put it mildly -- she senses a closeness to both the kids and their noble father. I think she found the family she was denied.

Still, the film doesn't elaborate; it's just a strong possibility they'll pursue.
