Aunt Elizabeth

I never read the book. What happens to the aunt. The movie left her character with no closure.

In the book, the main character is "Aunt Elizabeth." She is from Toronto and goes to Alberta to teach. She is always in contact with her family even though she moves to a small community to teach (her brother Jon lives in Calgary)... this movie is completely different than the book. Elizabeth does marry Wynn and they move up north. But the main characters of all 4 books are Wynn and Elizabeth.

The ending was really abrupt. i know they are making a tv series out of it, but there was really no resolution. I am doubting Maggie Grace and Stephen Amell will be on the series, so why not wrap up that loose end? That was my only complaint. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this film.

I agree! I can't get over the non-ending, especially since they now plan a series. ????

I have come here to chew bubble gum & kick ass, and & i'm all out of bubble gum.

I just finished watching the movie and man, talk about an abrupt ending. It left me so disappointed, even more so because I was truly enjoying the movie. What happens to Aunt Elizabeth & Wynn? And Edward and Elizabeth? Grrr. It's infuriating. I understand they're going to do a series based on this, but come on, they could have ended the movie properly.

Spoilers ahead.

I agree it was abrupt, but I thought they did okay trying to make this more a story of the younger Elizabeth and Jack. They set the stage for their story in the new series. As far as the original Elizabeth and Wynn, we know they ended up together (by what Jack says at the end) and this is not their story. More like a tiny connection to get this new story/series started.

I agree it would have been awesome if both stories were told, like the movie, but then it would cost too much to produce and we wouldn't get anything at all :)

I looked up for the series page (which is to premier next year) on Imdb, and the casts/characters seemed a bit different from this one. So, is it safe to say that that was the last time Elizabeth saw Edward Montclaire? Talk about abrupt ending >.<

I just finished watching it, and I couldn't believe the abrupt ending. I really wanted to see what happened with Aunt Elizabeth and Wynn. Grrrr!

Wonder is the seed of knowledge.🐈 
