I'm so confused. I just finished series 1 of "When Calls the Heart" with Erin Kraków as Elizabeth and now I see this particular series of the same name. Is this version more closely based on the book than the Erin Kraków version seems to be? I'll give both series a shot if I can find this one some where.
Only season 1 of the Erin Kraków version is on Netflix.

This board is for a TV movie from 2013, not the weekly series that started in 2014.
A few months before the TV series premiered in 2014 this TV movie aired on Hallmark. It stars Maggie Grace as Elizabeth Thatcher, but it is not the same Elizabeth that is in the Series. Erin Krakow's character Elizabeth Thatcher from the series is the niece of the main character in this movie. This movie more closely follows Janette Oke's Canadian West #1 : When Calls the Heart book than the series does.
The niece was portrayed in the original TV movie, but as a child. The show was retooled after the original movie to be about the niece as a grownup teacher, even though both the movie and the TV series were set in the 1910s.
I don't know what they have to say. It makes no difference anyway. Whatever it is, I'm against it.
