GARY (henry z) is great

some of the reactions, jumps and line reads are perfect.

rest of the cast is great too. claude, dana snyder, satan, that guy whos getting tortured all the time.

are you doing it the GARY way?

reply

He really is great. I love how he responds to the prostitute in the "Byle" episode after Satan tells her she's gonna love going down on the Byle guys. He has this hilarious grin and says something like, "Yes...you're really going to enjoy it...it's a good time for you." Aweseom! I also just love when he's trying to get the "Byle" bassist to sit on that contraption and the guy says "Ouch...it pinche my scrottum" and if you pay attention Gary says, "Good."...like any pain or suffering is a good thing for everbody.

In the paper today...tales of war and of waste
But you turn right over to the T.V. page

He's such an overall nice guy. I wonder why he was sent to hell?

reply

well if "people in hell want ice water" is anything to go off of it doesn't take much to accidentally condemn yourself to hell.

reply

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying?

I think you may misunderstand what the expression "People in Hell want ice water" means.

In the off chance that it's possible for someone not to know what it means I'll explain.

You say, "I want a doughnut."
Your boss says, "People in hell want ice water. Get back to work."

Your boss essentially told you, "I don't give a fock that you want a doughnut. Everybody wants something, and I don't give sh!t about that either. Now, get your fat, lazy ass back to work."

reply

haha, no I was directly referencing the season 1 finale which was titled "people in hell want ice water". Claude convinced thousands (perhaps millions I forget) of people to sign away their souls by hiding the contract in a user agreement for his online chat program. so what I meant was that in their world it's pretty darn easy to get yourself sent to Hell even if you're an otherwise good person.

reply

Ah! My apologies then.

reply

Gary is definitely the backbone of the series. Without him I'm not sure it would be half as good as it is.

reply

yeah, Zebrowski's performance is among the strongest ones I've ever seen in sitcoms, and Servitto is really good too
